TRANSPARENCY IN DETAIL

Verifying Every Step in Our Ethical Fashion Journey

We believe that true luxury includes peace of mind. Trust is earned through transparency, which is why we’ve created this page—to give you clear, honest insight into the people, partners, and practices behind every piece we make.

From responsible sourcing to certified sustainability credentials, we want you to feel confident and comfortable in your choices—knowing that our claims are not only genuine, but grounded in care, integrity, and evidence.

🌿 Our Fabric Suppliers & Certifications

Primary Silk Suppliers:

  • Biddle Sawyer Silks (UK)

    • Practices: Established British wholesaler supplying premium silks with a focus on ethical sourcing and sustainability. Their UK based printing techniques reduce water and chemical usage, and their operations are continually assessed to lower environmental impact. Their water is drawn from our own reservoir, which contains no chlorine, chloramines, mercury, VOC’s, pharmaceuticals, herbicides or pesticides
    • Quote from Biddle Sawyer: “We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations, sourcing responsibly and contributing to a sustainable supply chain for silk and luxury fabrics.”

  • The Materialist (UK)

    • Practices: A circular marketplace for deadstock textiles, connecting designers with excess inventories from luxury mills. The Materialist champions a new ecosystem for sustainable materials by repurposing premium fabrics that would otherwise go to waste. This ensures exceptional quality while dramatically reducing environmental impact.

    • ReLiveTex® fabrics – Among its curated deadstock, The Materialist also offers textiles certified by ReLiveTex®—a globally recognised environmental standard for the recovery and reuse of luxury textile materials. ReLiveTex® guarantees full traceability and transparency across the recovery process, ensuring that high-end excess stock is repurposed responsibly and with respect for the environment.

Printing & Dyeing:

  • All printing is digital, reducing water consumption by up to 95% compared to screen printing.
  • Dyes used are Azo-free, phthalate-free, and certified non-toxic.

🔍 Our Ongoing Commitment to Transparency

At Maimie London, we recognise that true sustainability is a journey, not a destination. While we are proud of the partnerships we’ve built and the responsible practices we uphold, we know there is always more to learn and improve. We are continuously working to deepen transparency across our supply chain—from fabric sourcing to production—seeking out clearer data, stronger certifications, and more direct accountability from our partners.

As we grow, we remain committed to evolving our standards, asking better questions, and sharing more of the story with you. Our goal is to give you confidence not only in what we make, but how we make it.
